The four cardinal virtues

Four values. Justice, moderation, wisdom, fortitude.

• Justice. Fairness and impartiality. Giving each person what they’re due, and treating everyone equally.
• Moderation. Also known as temperance. Self-control, avoiding extremes, balance and restraint.
• Wisdom. Understanding, knowledge and good judgement. Making sound decisions and seeing the true nature of things.
• Fortitude. Courage, strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
